When you stay with us at the Bent Beam Barn, you get full access to beautiful Mason Lake—and what that looks like changes with the season. In winter, think ice fishing, ice skating, or whatever cold‑weather adventure calls your name.

Once the warmer months roll in, it’s all about lake time: dip your toes off our pier, bring your canoe, paddleboard, kayak, or boat, and soak in those long, easy days on the water. And keep an eye out—our local ducks love to waddle over and show off for guests.

Thank you for considering the Bent Beam Barn as your premier vacation rental. We take great pride in offering a unique, memorable experience. Please be mindful of our barn rules. The minimum age to rent is 25. Please check in after 4:00PM and check out before 10:00AM. As we continue to offer a stellar destination, smoking and pets are prohibited.
Staying at the Bent Beam Barn encompasses being a good neighbor. All parties and events must be preapproved prior to your booking. Explore the beauty of our acreage, yet understand every guest must remain within the property boundaries. Mason Lake access is restricted after 10PM. We understand cancellations happen, but a service fee of $150 will be assessed without ample notice.
For the safety of our Highland Cows and our guests, all visits to the cows must be scheduled in advance. We love sharing these gentle animals with you, but they require a calm, controlled environment to stay healthy and stress‑free.

Under no circumstances should anyone enter the cow shelter or any protected, fenced‑in areas. These spaces are restricted for the well‑being of the animals and the safety of our visitors.

Thank you for respecting these guidelines and helping us care for our beloved Highlands. Your cooperation ensures that every visit is safe, enjoyable, and memorable for everyone involved.

MEET OUR PHOTOGRAPHY PARTNER
Because Your Memories Deserve to Look This Good
We’re thrilled to partner with Captured By B Photography, where Beatrice turns everyday moments into frame‑worthy brilliance. This woman has an eye so sharp she could spot the perfect shot from across Mason Lake—probably while sidestepping a nosy Highland cow.

Whether you’re here for a family getaway, a romantic escape, or just want proof that you did in fact meet the world’s fluffiest cows, Beatrice captures it all with style, heart, and serious talent.

And yes—private photo sessions can be scheduled for individuals, graduates, couples, families, and anyone else who wants to look fabulous against our barn‑side backdrop.

Her photos make the Bent Beam Barn look even better than we do in real life… and honestly, we’re not mad about it.
